Welcome from The Head of School
Thank you for visiting our website, which we hope will be helpful in providing some information about our school. Windmill Hill School opened on Monday 13th September 2021 for the first time. It started to meet a need in the local area for secondary, special-school places. We are situated in Hightown, close to Luton Town Centre.
We are a community school and actively seeking to engage with a range of communities including parents, local businesses, charities and the other schools in our area. Our school motto is: ‘Bringing Life to Learning and Learning to Life’. This means that we keep our learning relevant to real-life and bring creativity and excitement to lessons. We believe that our students should have fun while learning.
Our curriculum, ethos and culture are rooted in the belief that our role is in the preparation of our students for adulthood. Everything we do supports future independence, relative to the learning needs of each individual. We provide a safe and nurturing environment which supports families and our students to reach their full potential, so that they become confident individuals, responsible citizens and successful learners.
We celebrate the fact that we are a diverse community. We actively promote British Values and have a focus on the positive relationships we build both within and outside our school.
If you have any questions, or would like to visit us, please contact the school office.
